McDougall Program

The goal of the McDougall Program is to start you on a path of genuinely improved and lasting health. Through daily lectures and presentations, you will not only learn about what constitutes good health, but why certain foods and habits are healthy and why others are harmful. You will be encouraged to ask any and all questions of our doctors, dietitian, psychologist and staff while you're here. We want you to develop a strong understanding of good health in preparation for your return home and the continuation of your new lifestyle. You'll learn how to eat out while being true to your new way of eating, how to stock your kitchen with the tools you'll need every day and how to read food labels. You'll also enjoy cooking demonstrations so that you will be better prepared to do more of your own cooking at home. When you're not eating (we feed you a lot here) or at a lecture, you'll have the opportunity to sample and practice a variety of exercises to determine which one appeals to you most so that you can continue with it back home (including walking, yoga, swimming, weight training, or the latest dance craze, Zumba). During the program you will have two one-on-one medical appointments and two lab tests (one when you arrive and one right before you leave) so that you can see your progress on paper in addition to feeling it. Many participants are also happy to get off some or even all of their medications (and their unpleasant side effects) for good. We want you to learn how great it feels to take charge of your own health. We want you out of the medical business, and we want you to have the time of your life while you're here. We hope to see you at the next program!

Stoll Program

Stoll's Program is all about you learning how to become "nutrient rich" for life. Nutrient Rich doesn't mean vegan or vegetarian - it is simply adding, and eventually preferring, the foods with the most nutrients and phytochemicals.

Your seven-day Immersion will:

  • Get you motivated to make simple, yet important, changes in your life.
  • Teach you about the power of eating a nutrient-rich diet.
  • Thoroughly explain how eating the right foods can contribute to the prevention and reversal of most diet-related chronic illnesses.
  • Explain why diets have failed you in the past and why you will never diet again!
  • Serve delicious healthy meals and show you how to prepare them at home.
  • Enable you to meet and socialize with your fellow Team Members in a fun-filled setting.
  • Allow you to hear first-hand from past Immersion participants who have literally changed their lives.

What can be expected?

  • The Stoll Program highlights the benefits of a high-micronutrient approach to diet. This approach has been found, both in medical studies, and in real life application, to have significant positive effects on the prevention and reversal of some common chronic illnesses such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, migraines, allergies, digestive disorders and others.
  • Each day will start with an exercise/yoga session that is geared toward your level of fitness. These sessions are followed by a healthy breakfast that will get your day started right.
  • Daytime activities include lectures, cooking and shopping demos, and group activities. The day's activities are broken up by a nutrient-rich and tasty lunch mid-day along with shorter breaks throughout the day. Don't worry, they'll keep you moving!
  • Evening activities vary from guest speakers to dance lessons to talent shows with some neat prizes for "exceptional" participation.
  • You can expect to want to stay forever (although you know that you can't) because of the great food, information and hospitality that you will get courtesy of Dr. Stoll's team.
  • You can also expect to leave the Immersion feeling great, looking healthy and thankful for the opportunity that lies in front of you, and that's a great feeling!

Fuhrman Program

Joel Fuhrman, M.D., is a board-certified family physician, author and nutritional researcher who specializes in permanent weight loss and the prevention and reversal of disease through nutritional and natural methods. Dr. Fuhrman is the author of the New York Times best-selling book, Eat to Live, as well as the inventor of the ANDI scoring system used in Whole Foods Market. Based on his own clinical findings and research, he created the nutritarian diet style, which resolves food addiction, overeating behavior and food cravings. According to Dr. Fuhrman, any diet style that does not address food addiction and "toxic" hunger or how to remove the emotional and physical triggers to overeating is doomed to fail. His program is adaptable for vegans and non-vegans, though the emphasis is on the immune-building and health properties of eating more anti-cancer plant foods in delicious ways.

Having helped thousands of people achieve dramatic health reversals and weight-loss success for more than 20 years, you will benefit from Dr. Fuhrman's broad knowledge and clinical experience in this field.
